BROOM Breaking News

Welfare Work
(The World) This is the sensational season of simple sympathy so why not neatly knit for nice national or interesting international institutions?
The merry month of dark December will willingly witness many mighty markets dearly dedicated to the cooperative celebration of cheering Christmas. Each sweet stall surely selling certain self-made small things. In pure preparation for these you might want to wonder whether you would like to wilfully work out some ordinary objects of the useful nature and openly offer them to the original organisations. One of our sweet slaves is currently creating knitted tree decoration for the soon sale at the minute market at an animal asylum. (MF)

Try Something New

(Your home) You know, now that the dark season starts and soon Christmas depression and winter shopping will set in – or was it the other way around, doesn't matter – we thought you might need a tiny light shining in your life. How could this be achieved? Easy, you try something new. This month we've invited Harriet Kettle-Stove to share a recipe with you and we are almost sure that you have never tried it.
MF: Harriet, what do you have for us?
HKS: I have the recipe of a very easy dessert for you.
MF: Mmh, delicious. What is it? A cake or pie or biscuit?
HKS: Much better, it is chocolate mousse.
MF: Yummy, chocolate mousse. Delicious! But hang on, even I have prepared a chocolate mousse at least once in my life.
HKS: Yes, normal chocolate mousse, but what I present you is vegan chocolate mousse.
MF: Vegan? But this would mean without all the necessary ingredients for a good chocolate mousse: No milk, no cream and no chocolate.
HKS: Wait and see. Come into my kitchen and be surprised how easy and how delicious this mousse will prove to be.
MF: Okay.
HKS: You will have to go shopping first, but it will be worth it.
MF: For the shops, sure.
HKS: For you, too. You put 400g of silken tofu, 200g of vegan chocolate, the dark one and a package of vanilla sugar on your shopping list.
MF:Yummy, there is water in my mouth already.
HKS: Now, back at home you purée the silken tofu and heat the chocolate in a bain-marie. Add the chocolate and the sugar to the silken tofu and mix. Put into fridge and let it cool.
MF: Wow, that is easy! I think even Brian can do this. Is there nothing tricky about it?
HKS: Oh, there is. You are not allowed to taste it.
MF: Why's that?
HKS: Because if you do you will eat it all before it has cooled down.
MF: It's that delicious?
HKS: Yes, and even more so once it has cooled down. Would you like to try. I have prepared something.
MF: Yes, Yummy. Mmh. No, don't take it away again...mmh...
And while Mike is eating all the chocolate mousse, Harriet prepared some more. It really is very easy and will brighten up your mood. And you deserve it. Tuck in! (All)

New Goals for 2030

(The World) The UN has decided that there are some pressing issues which have to be gotten rid of by the year 2030. Among these are lack of equality and extreme poverty.
The last month saw or rather heard action from the UN in shape of a radio programme broadcast throughout the world. The idea behind this global campaign was to look for support for the goals that the UN that itself and the world earlier last month.
The different goals comprise fight global warming, create equality, get rid of extreme poverty and many more. The main aim is simply to save the world. Naturally, this can't be done by a council representing almost all the states in the world.
In order to win more supporters and to put a tiny bit of pressure on the different governments of the world's countries, a radio programme was created and broadcast throughout the world. You might have listened to it too.
However, it was not only the medium radio that was used but also the new media, facebook, twitter and the like. The aim was to get into contact with as many people as possible and to get as much positive feedback and therefore pressure as necessary to make a change.
Watch out for the changes to come and make sure to be part of them. This world could be paradise if we all worked together! (BC)
